Completed Project: New Turf Lawn and Sandstone Patio, High Barnet EN5

A tired, uneven rear garden behind a Victorian terrace in High Barnet (EN5), turned into a crisp new lawn with a natural sandstone patio, a tidy gravel area by the summerhouse and clean block edging that keeps every surface in its place.

What we did

Cleared and levelled the old lawn, prepared and fed the soil, laid premium turf, set charcoal block edging along the lawn, beds and gravel, relaid the gravel by the summerhouse and laid an Indian sandstone patio by the back doors. The lawn was watered in and left ready to enjoy.

Laying the new turf

Good turf needs good preparation underneath. We remove the old grass, level and firm the soil, then lay the rolls tightly with staggered joints so the lawn knits together quickly.
