How to Choose a Landscaper in Barnet & Enfield: 8 Checks Before You Sign

1. Can they show you real local jobs?

Ask for photos of finished work near you, ideally with before, during and after shots. Stock photos and computer images prove nothing. 2. Are they insured?

Ask to see a public liability insurance certificate and check the dates. If something goes wrong on your property, this is what protects you.

3. Is the quote written and itemised?

A proper quote lists the area, materials, base, drainage, waste removal and what is not included. One number on a WhatsApp message is not a quote.

4. How much do they want up front?

Be wary of large deposits before work starts. Paying in stages as the work progresses keeps both sides fair. We take no upfront deposit.

5. Who will actually do the work?

Some companies sell the job and pass it to subcontractors. Ask who will be on site each day. Our own team does every job.

6. Is there a written guarantee?

Ask what is covered and for how long, and get it in writing. We give a 5-year workmanship warranty.

7. Do they plan before they dig?

Levels, drainage and access should be checked at the first visit. A design, even a simple one, avoids expensive surprises. We offer a free 3D design so you can see the result before work starts.

8. What do past customers say?

Read Google reviews and look for comments about tidiness, timekeeping and how problems were handled, not just the finished photos.
